ok mebe its the time or wad..but i am feelin a bit screwed up and whinny...haha so shalll complain about an incident tat happened todae..not to me but to a fren..
we went to the mrt station..well my fren was carryin a drink when we entered the station and coincidentally there was a staff member on duty close to us..as we walked in...my fren was stopped by the staff and was "told" not to bring in the drink as it was prohibited in the railway premises...well there wasn't much of a prob was there?however the prob lies in the way how the staff "told" my fren...its was unfriendly..in fact i found it nasty..cos apparently my fren was being shouted at..ok the fault lies in my fren bringin the drink in but the staff should not haf shouted..all my fren did was sae,"i'm sorry, but is there a dustbin which i can dispose the drink arnd?" and den the staff shouted and while my fren was walkin out of the station..the MRT staff was stl shoutin something like "outside" or sth like tat...well i wasn't too sure of the situation in the latter part cos i was 1 lvl below but stl could hear the blabberin..well the reason i took it so personally cos there was another couple eatin ice cream in station but wasn't force to go out and the attitude was atrocious. sure he was jus strictly abidin to the rules however there is a fine line between being firm and abusin his authority...he is employed to ensure the security of the station and makin sure tat rules are followed to provide a pleasant environment(?) for the passengers BUT..but he shld noe his role and where he stands...there are btr ways to implement the rules rather den shoutin and being so mean..he looks like he is in his late 40s or jus into the 50s i sure hope tat he is not the sole bread winner of his family bcos he might screw up his job wif that screwed up attitude of his...and its not easy for him to find another job...well if hes not the sole bread winner den good for him but den y is he stl workin den?obviously things are not goin too smooth for him..
Another incident i had was quite long ago...well u c i am not too observant wif things and especially things wif regards to public transport cos i dun take them often...i was in my uniform goin home on a bus cos my mom was too busy to pick me up..so i paid the fare(in case some of u dunno last time was usin farecard) and i kept the ticket...den a bus conductor came up(female btw but old..so damn) and wen she was checkin my ticket she requested to c my bus pass which oso is a student pass of some sort..den bcos i dun notice tat there is an expiry date on the card..and my card was expired..the bus conductor said tat i tryin to cheat her wif a fake bus pass and tat she could haf reported me...i was like..diao -_-"...so i told her tat i am or was stl studyin den but she said tat my bus pass was expired..i was puzzled so i asked her wad shld i do?she raised her voice at me and said sth like go ask ur teacher..y ask me...ur sch shld haf taught u sth...i was like thinkin erm..schs haf btr things to teach us den how the bus system works..if schs were to teach...the syllubus will finish within 1 hr...and u r the bus conductor, u shld provide some help..i was so v angry at tat time but den i tot she mus haf nvr gone to sch b4..so instead my anger dissipated and i developed a sense of pity for her...well the pity wasn't exactly sincere but wth..anyway she could haf identified me frm my uniform...but den...too dumb..
C...these ppl work in the service industry and they call the attitude they give service?far frm it..ok mebbe they consider it service..bad service..haiz..Singapore relies on the tertiary industry(which is oso service industry..i tink) to povide employment to the ppl...it in turns allow the ppl to participate in the economy...however if this is e standard of service...i mus sae tat is quite disappointin.. and those type of ppl mentioned above shld not b paid..cos they r paid bcos of the service they rendered..and as i said b4..its lousy..
there are 2 basic Qs in our lives...IQ(intelligence quotient) and EQ(emotional Quotient)..BUT PQQ HAS BOTH...jk...the more common one tat ppl refer to is the IQ..which means how smart u r but EQ, which corresponds to ur ppl skils etc, is becomin more impt...especially in job seekin where employers look for employees wif good ppl skills..this is bcos EQ enables ppl to solve problems and handle situations in a whole new light...like for example the mrt staff tat i mentioned earlier on...by shoutin he is displayin his lack of EQ cos his is makin ppl dislike him..at least me...he could haf done it in a milder manner..as if it will hurt..anyway tat is wad ppl look for in leaders..cos wif exceptional ppl skills...u can motivate ur "followers" to believe and trust in u..and den they will help u...so ppl mus rmb to develope good EQ...it will surely benefit not onli u but ppl arnd u...
